Lancaster, 2025

I’ve had wineeeee at the French restaurant, so this is all you’re getting. The photo came out kinda neat though.

A wet, winding path is illuminated by street lamps at night. The trail is bordered by trees and foliage, with fallen leaves scattered along the edges. The scene appears slightly blurred, emphasizing the damp, quiet, and mysterious atmosphere.

Williamson Power Station, Lancaster, 2025

Large, abandoned red-brick industrial building with tall cylindrical smokestack, surrounded by fences and overgrown grass. The sky is partly cloudy with golden sunlight breaking through. Foreground shows a cracked, empty road and construction signs near the fence.

Now derelict Williamson Power Station, Lancaster. Once used to supply power to the city’s linoleum factory, it has more recently been used for illegally storing compacted waste, which set alight in December 2023. Following the days-long fire and the operation to extinguish it, it now stands mostly empty, fire-damaged but no less immense.

Lloyds Bank, Lancaster, 2024

About as well photographed as possible, after orthodontic treatment, and with a bag of apples in my hand.

The Lancaster Hospital, Lancaster, 2024

I like some of the elements, such as the green roof windows at the rear, the porthole below, and the glass bricks in reception, but clearly the psychiatric hospital in Den Dolder I reblogged yesterday is way more interesting!

Decaying former garage, Lancaster, 2024

A weathered stone building features a blue sign reading D.C. Wilson - Brewery Lane Garage - TEL: 67494. The garage door is closed, windows are boarded, and foliage grows nearby. An old yellow danger sign and overcast sky suggest neglect and disuse.

Fencing on Dallas Road, Lancaster, 2024

A small, ivy-covered building with a corrugated metal roof sits in front of larger stone houses. The green gate to the right is weathered, and four black-yellow bollards line the pavement. Bushes and scaffolding are visible behind the building under a cloudy sky.

This was a high risk mission because a few weeks ago I fell on my arse on this slippery tree-lined road with such a thud a couple a street away turned back to check on me, but the barbed fencing on the right made me stop urgently and take a picture.
